Peter was headhunted to come back from New York to the London office of BBDO, then also one of the top five American ad agencies in the world, as an Associate Creative Director and Copy Chief
Six years later he was offered and took a Creative Directorship in the London office of Bates, yet another of the massive American global marketing set ups.
Eventually Peter decided it was time to set up his own consultancy and did - Peter Cundall Associates - which was soon busy providing top level creative work to clients direct. He had also started to be creatively active in two other areas – Poetry and Other Writing
Peter wrote many tv commercials, including the marketing launch of the nearly derelict area that was to become Docklands. He also won first for cinema at the Cork Film Festival, second at Cannes (advertising) Festival, Silver at the New York TV Festival. And did lots of print writing; some of which went on to win a Communication Arts Award in LA.
His extensive print work also included travel campaigns for the Turkish Tourist Board and the Greek Tourist Board and work on wines, beers, cars, coffees and more.
Peter's creative work for the Anne Frank Trust was exhibited in Downing Street.
His creative work done direct for the Department of Health was said to be the best they’ve had in 10 years. And the 80 items, posters and leaflets, were also delivered to them on time and on budget.
